Why does OC Africa provide Early Childhood/Primary School Staff Development?

Our Purpose

- To share the love and joy and strength found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

- To share words of truth found in God’s Word, the Bible.

- To train principals and teachers in teaching strategies and concepts that will enhance their preschool and primary school teaching programs.

- To provide resources that support OC Africa’s training program and equip principals and teachers to apply sound teaching practices in their schools.

Our Aim

OC Africa strives to assist principals and teachers develop a high quality school program.

Our Focus

Teacher Training – Teachers attend training workshops to help them improve their instructional and management skills. In addition, we begin each workshop with devotions and prayer to address the felt needs of living and working in an informal settlement/rural area.

School Visits – OC Africa visits preschools to understand the workings of each individual school. We provide coaching and mentoring and pastoral care to teachers.

Resource Development – OC Africa helps principals and teachers learn of the advantages of recycling and reusing materials for instructional purposes.
