Leadership Development
Every church with equipped and maturing pastoral leadership. This is the vision of TOPIC, a network of organisations that works together on initiatives to increase and improve training for pastoral leaders.
TOPIC (Trainers of Pastors International Coalition) is an international network; locally, TOPIC Southern Africa is facilitated by OC team member David Bulger, and is engaged in Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Alone, never again! POPnet (the Pastoring of Pastors Network) is a network of individuals and organisations that promotes pastoral health through the facilitation of ‘pastoring of pastors.’ POPnet promotes vision and provides practical training to pastoral leaders to provide peer pastoral care to one another, in the context of cell groups. Pastoral leaders, and their spouses, experience growth and health as they give and receive care, and learn skills to bring health into their church congregations.
Where do you have the greatest need to develop and grow? The TOPIC Leadership Development Research Project is an initiative to create a current and accurate information system of Church leadership needs in Southern Africa. The goal of the research project is to provide an accessible and accurate tool to progressively mature the Christian Leadership in Southern Africa for the glory of God.
